The Greek Orthodox Church Community of Sts. Constantine & Helen in the north-west area of Toronto celebrated its annual Christmas dinner on December 2nd at the church’s hall. Organized by the Community Council and the Ladies of the Philoptochos, the evening was filled with church members and friends with great enthusiasm and joy for all.
Parish priest Father Ted Paraskevopoulos and Presvitera Joanna were there and as dinner was being served by the group of dedicated volunteers – both existing and new members to the church – Father Ted joined the team and enthusiastically helped in the serving. A very successful event supported by its community and guests, DJ Tommy from OpaClub provided a variety of festive and Greek music which brought most on the dance floor following the delicious and complete lenten dinner. As the night progressed, the raffle ticket winners were announced with the many beautiful gifts being given. President of the Philoptochos Ms. Fiedra Kanaris announced that proceeds from the evening’s event would support the Covenant house charity in Toronto.
From children to grandparents at this Christmas gathering, everyone enjoyed a truly cordial and fun evening with friends reuniting during this meaningful advent time of the year.
