The Greek Community of Toronto (GCT) and Paideia Inc. are delighted to announce that we have received a substantial textbook grant from The Hellenic Heritage Foundation (HHF). Specifically, the HHF has generously provided us with $15,000 to cover the total printing and distribution costs of Paideia books. The above contribution marks the third consecutive year that we have received the HHF textbook grant, reaching a total of $ 85,000 to this date.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis, while the world is experiencing unprecedented challenges in human capital, learning, essential well-being, and future productivity, the Hellenic Heritage Foundation remains unwavering in its commitment to support Greek Language and Heritage programs in Toronto and across Canada. Especially this year, when the pandemic has profoundly impacted the Greek Community of Toronto, the HHF stands tall and takes a leading role in sustaining vital programs that promote Hellenic culture and values.
The Hellenic Heritage Foundation (HHF) is a national charitable, non-profit organization established in Toronto. It was founded in 1996 by a group of professional business people of Hellenic descent, with a mission to preserve, promote and advance Hellenic education, culture, and heritage in Canada. If you would like to learn more about the HHF, please visit their website: www.hhf.ca.
The GCT and Paideia Inc. share a joint mission with the HHF to improve Greek language education and promote and preserve Hellenic heritage and culture. On behalf of our students, their families, and all GCT members, I would like to express my sincerest appreciation and gratitude to the HHF president Mr. Tony Lourakis, the HHF Board members, and all of you who support HHF events and fundraising initiatives.
