The prestigious Transformation Awards gala was held on Friday, June 15th 2018 at Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex in Toronto. The awards honours leaders and innovators. This year, the book titled, «150 Extraordinary Canadians: Our Leadership and Innovation Legacy» will be launched at the gala. Deputy Chief André Crawford of York Regional Police will be the Master of Ceremonies for the event. Mark Beckles, Senior Director, Youth Strategy & Innovation for Royal Bank Of Canada (RBC) will
deliver the 2018 Keynote Address. He will also be conferred with a fellowship of the Transformation Institute.
The Recipients are: Leadership Award. Anthony Lacavera, Founder & Chairman, Globalive and Founder Wind Mobile; Entertainment Award, Susan Aglukark, legendary Singer & Songwriter; Lifetime Achievement Award, Pyarali Nanji, CEO, Bell-Pak Packaging Media Award, Deepa Mehta, Oscar  Nominated Director and Screenwriter; Innovation Award, Brian Deck, CEO, Smooth Commerce, Enterprise Award, Moniruz Zaman, CEO, Bullion Mart; Excellence Award, Christopher Gordon, Partner, Ernst & Young; Public Service Award, David Mitchell, Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Children and Youth Services; Harmony Award, Maria Saras-Voutsinas, Executive Director, National Ethnic Press & Media Council of Canada; Heritage Award, Shiu King Kong, Community Advocate; Community Service Award, Charity Lebeanya, Executive Director, Heritage Skills Development Centre and the Legacy Award goes to Anton Kikas, CEO, Anton Kikas Limited.

Mawa and supported financially by his company Silvertrust Media and others of goodwill, the institute has trustees, advisory board, management team and an army of dedicated volunteers. It conducts mentorship, capacity building, research, advances good citizenship and recognises achievers to inspire the next generation. It operates the Crossover Mentorship Program for youth and more.
