This past weekend was notable for the HHF Greek Canadian Archives at York University team, as our colleagues shared their insights at two significant international conferences.
At the Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας University of Macedonia, Hellenic Heritage Foundation Chair in Modern Greek History Sakis Gekas and Angelo Laskaris contributed a Greek Canadian perspective at the conference "50 Years Since the Fall of the Greek Dictatorship: The 1940s to the Post-Junta Era."
Meanwhile, at the University of Illinois Chicago, Theodore Xenophontos shared insights from his research project at a symposium titled "Cyprus and the 1974 Invasion: Views from the Diaspora."
These presentations exemplify our team’s commitment to mobilizing knowledge and enhancing understanding of Greek Canadian and Cypriot Canadian history, as well as diaspora studies. We commend our colleagues for their excellent contributions and for furthering scholarly discourse at an international level.
Join us in celebrating their achievements and the ongoing efforts to enrich Greek Canadian studies.
